I'm Off To French Land

This summer I will be out in the South of France as a canoe instructor. I hope to try and keep posting pictures but it all depends on how well my small digital camera performs and the availability of internet at the centre I'm working at. Hopefully is should be excellent!!

Climber Magazine WIN!

I found out yesterday i'd won this months Climber Magazines competition for reader photo of the month. So i've now had my first photo printed in a magazine and should be receiving a t-shirt and fleece worth £60 soon. I went and bought the issue this morning.

*New Video* Portland Time

A quick video i put together using windows live movie maker, its nowhere near as good as the old normal windows movie maker. The video is about Ducky, Gorman and my time on Portland. Most of it is not actual climbing and as i was busy getting the photos in my last post rather then video thats next year.

Portland Time

The 26th-28th April was Ducki, Gorman and my climbing trip to Portland for some sport, dws and a small bit of trad climbing. I used this time to get shots for my uni coursework article. The climbing and camping was awesome as we had superb weather. Here are the pictures from Portland that I submitted for my work.

IOW Time

I spent the week of the 18th on the Isle of Wight visiting some good friends and making some new ones. It was a great week including eating crabs cooked on the beach, getting shot (three times), scary coasteering and slacklining. Managed to get some slackline shots.

Climber Magazine

I received an email this morning making me aware of a comment left by one of CLIMBER magazines staff asking for the full resolution image of an image I put up on their website for potentially Readers Photo of the Month. That would be nice achievement. Link to the post bellow.

Business Cards

As I have a photo going up on display in the Rheged Centre, Cumbria. I decided to create a business card to go along with my photo in case I actually get enquires about buying it, which would be wonderful. Here it is.

Shepherds Crag

Wednesday I went along to take photos and video of Mike and Tom.K attempting to lead E3 route, Battering Ram. They got to the second belay point then had to detour up an easier route. So a fail for their first attempt. After getting down they had a go at soloing another part I think it was called Pinnacle something.

Bush-craft

Today for our practical session we had bush-craft! This consisted of all things Ray Mears style, fire lighting, skinning rabbits, cooking and shelter making. Here is Craig and Miles throwing away one of the rabbits we decided not to cut up and eat as when it was shot its bottom exploded into its-self.

Askham Bouldering?

Went to Askham today Mike managed to find a small boulder problem. I found a sheep (dead). Tom didn't find anything.

Bowder Stone

Was a bright day in Penrith today, not so bright in Borrowdale. Turned out that The Bowder Stone was quite wet still but Dan and Remy had a play anyway.

Skullcandy Competition Entry

Night Slacklining #5

Tonight we got out slacklining in the dark and rain. It was good fun for a while then got a little slippy.
